Greg Blanco has been a Judoka for over 50 years and has earned a 5th degree black belt (Godan) through the United States Judo Federation. Blanco Sensei started training in southern California under Roy “Pop” Moore Sr. This training with Roy Moore Sr. makes Blanco sensei's judo lineage only one degree removed from Jigoro Kano himself. He continued to train under Al Holtman before joining the military, both Al Holtman and Roy Moore Sr. are major contributors to American Judo. Blanco Sensei’s connection to the early days of Judo here in California and his connection to other well-known Judoka like Fukuda Sensei allowed him to open a USJF approved club in the small town of Red Bluff California. Blanco Sensei has trained kids, men, and women’s self-defense, as well as Law Enforcement. Blanco Sensei is a retired from service as a Law enforcement officer and a firefighter.
